"Branch Out Productions is ecstatic to win the first Jane LeBlanc Theatre Organization Award. BOP's directing team members will be trained as intimacy coordinators thanks to the award monies. This is an important step in strengthening the integrity of our arts community. This intimacy training will allow us to ensure the well-being of our actors while they do their important work in theatre. It will give us the necessary tools to approach any delicate subject matter with informed sensitivity. This training will also allow us to be a resource to other community theatre and film production teams." Ben Harrison.
Ben Harrison launched the theatre company 15 years ago with a strong focus on the organization being a safe and accommodating place for people of all ages and experience levels to explore the performing arts.
Ben Harrison is a mental health advocate by day and a theatre artist by night. He is an avid storyteller and the Founder and Artistic Director for Branch Out Productions, a community theatre group in Fredericton, NB.
