JL Film Post Award

The award helps emerging New Brunswick filmmakers to hire resident indie post specialists to take their film to completion and submit to festivals.

Eligible Post & Distribution Activities

  • ‍Sound Design
  • Music Score
  • Colour Correction
  • Dialogue Replacement
  • Picture Edit
  • Festival Fees

Cash award can be used to top up other grants/awards the filmmaker has received. Awarded filmmaker must hire New Brunswick resident creatives to do the post-work on a project.

  • Draft short film or music video (rough cut) as a .mov or mp4
  • Filmmaker bio.
  • Outline what is needed to complete the project
  • Background on indie post specialist to be hired.
  • Letter of confirmation from indie post specialist.
  • Short marketing plan and a list of potential festivals you will submit to if also applying for distribution assistance.
