Yasmine and Michael are emerging filmmakers based in St. John’s, NL, who got their start in film through their work as wildlife ecologists, where they assisted crews in capturing unique footage of wild animals. They were selected as a writing team for the PEI Screenwriters Bootcamp, and their script “Immaculate” was chosen for development by the Memorial University Writer in Residence. Their recent short film “A Fish Story” premiered at the Silver Wave Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Atlantic Short, and will be screening at the Edmonton International Film Festival this September.
