The JL Artist-in-Residence Award allows artists to connect with their creative peers and the community while doing focused work on their own creative project for a short-term or long-term residency.
The residency can be done directly through the Legacy Fund ($1500 for a short-term residency) OR through applying for grants in advance to fund a larger residency (artsnb, Canada Council, City of Fredericton).
An artist can apply for a residency through outside funding sources if their proposal is accepted or the JL Legacy Fund can apply on behalf of the artist.
Visual Art, Dance, Craft, Writing, Music, Photography, Film, and Acting.
Letter explaining what your residency project is as well as how you will involve the community (socials, artist talks, workshops, performances, work in progress sessions, other events). Include specific costs for everything and other supporters and partners involved if any.
All submissions and inquiries can be emailed to catmaryleblanc@gmail.com.
