Cam Woykin

Cam Woykin studied studio art and anthropology at the University of Lethbridge, and graduated with an MFA in film production from York University. His films, installations, and photographs have been exhibited at festivals, galleries, and alternative spaces across Canada and internationally. His current creative work deals with themes pertaining to impermanence, humanity’s existential struggle with nature, and the psychological impact of environment on personal and cultural narratives. Cam also maintains an active practice as a media arts instructor, encouraging experimental and hybrid approaches to narrative filmmaking.

Cam has taught courses and workshops throughout the country, from major cities to fly-in First Nation communities. He currently teaches at the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton and is a member of the NB Film Co-op.
